At Hanza Marine Management nothing is more important than safe, quality vessel operations. That’s why attracting highly motivated seagoing personnel is a top priority.
We are a growing, dynamic company, and are actively recruiting for all seafaring ranks.
For the right person, a seagoing career is immensely rewarding. Travel, responsibility, challenge, career development and a stimulating multicultural environment – all that plus a quality lifestyle with self-relieving schedules, such as four-months-on/four-months-off for senior officers. And our programs foster the world’s best seafaring teams – notably our cadet training and award-winning professional development program.
Deck Officer
Deck officers carry major responsibilities aboard our ships. Foremost are safe navigation, communications, ship stability and flawless cargo loading and discharge. They also oversee cosmetic vessel maintenance; upkeep of safety, security and environmental protection equipment; and seamanship operations. In port, they attend to legal and commercial business on board.
Engineer Officer
Officers in the engine department direct the operation and maintenance of critical and complex electrical, mechanical and control systems throughout the vessel. Supervising engine crews, they ensure the optimal round-the-clock functioning of the ship’s electrical, mechanical and control systems.
Crew
Crew ratings must be in top form to execute a range of critical roles in vessel operations. Deck ratings assist officers in ship navigation tasks, help operate deck machinery, and perform a wide variety of onboard maintenance. Engine ratings are a vital part of engine operations team. They also carry out routine maintenance, and repair related machinery. Catering ratings ensure ship personnel are properly nourished, working with the ship’s master to furnish appetizing, balanced meals at sea.
